July 2008 - Jack played the Chausson Concert for violin, piano and string quartet on an Australian Broadcasting Corporation live broadcast from the [Australian Chamber Music Festival]. Further concerts, including Jack playing the Chausson "Poeme" and Messiaen "Theme and variations", are being recorded for future broadcast on ABC.

June 2008 - Jack's recital at the Queen Elizabeth Hall with Katya Apekisheva has received another excellent review, this time in the July issue of "The Strad" magazine. [Read review]...

May 2008 - Jack's performance of the Lindberg Concerto on May 29th met with the approval of the composer himself. Magnus Lindberg was in the audience in the Grieg Hall in Bergen when Jack played with the Oslo Philharmonic under Jukka-Pekka Saraste as part of the Bergen Festival. The concert was recorded for broadcast on Norwegian radio.

May 2008 - Jack performed the Lindberg Concerto with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra under new chief conductor, Sakari Oramo, to great acclaim on May 15th. He will give the Norwegian premiere of the same work with the Oslo Philharmonic under Jukka-Pekka Saraste in the Greig Hall in Bergen on May 29th.

May 2008 - Jack's playing of the Mendelssohn Concerto with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under Leonard Slatkin has been praised in "Music & Vision". [Read review]...

Meanwile, Jack's new festival, Oxford May Music, ended on May 5th, after 6 exciting days attended by a total of around 1000 people. The events, mixing lectures on science, literature and music with evening concerts from some of the UK's finest musicians, were enthusiastically received. Plans are already well underway for the next festival, which will take place from April 29th - May 4th, 2009.

April 2008 - Jack's debut recital at the Queen Elizabeth Hall with Katya Apekisheva has received a glowing review in "The Times". [Read review]...

December 2007 - Jack appears on "Einstein's Fiddle" on BBC Radio 4, talking and playing Bach. Listen at 14:45 GMT on Sunday, December 9th; or a recording will be available on the Radio 4 web site player for a week after transmission.

October 2007 - New dates announced with the Manchester Camerata (Nov 08) and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra (Dec 08) and recitals in Zaragosza and Brisbane.

October 2007 - Jack's recently recorded BBC recital with Ashley Wass is due to be broadcast in Feb 2008.

• Jack's 2007-8 season promises to be very exciting - a recording for BBC Radio 3 with pianist Ashley Wass, his US Concerto debut with the Indianapolis Symphony, recital debuts in the Queen Elizabeth Hall and in the Sheldonian Theatre with Ashley Wass. The latter is part of a new festival, Oxford May Music, of which Jack is the Artistic Director. Jack will also be performing the Lindberg Concerto with the Orquesta Pablo Sarasate in Spain. More details on these and other events will be available soon.

May 2007 - Jack stood in for Maxim Vengerov in a concert on radio from Bath Festival. He played Elgar Violin Sonata to a packed hall.

February 2007 - Jack and Katya Apekisheva performed for a near-capacity audience in the Wigmore Hall. [Read review]...

December 2006 - Jack's US concerto debut with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra has just been announced and will take place in February 2008. He will play Mendelssohn Concerto in E minor with conductor Douglas Boyd...

December 2006 - Jack was in the studio twice this month. The first was for a forthcoming release with the Fibonacci Sequence featuring Glazunov, Mozart and Strauss. The second was for Jack's next solo CD which will be out in mid-2007 - more on that soon...

March 2006 - Jack has recorded the soundtrack for new movie Middletown which will be released in the Autumn of 2006. Set in Ireland, the film is about an over-zealous priest and features the actor Matthew MacFadyen. The music is composed by Debbie Wiseman and film directed by Brian Kirk.
